AI, LLM & RAG Applications
Give AI a specific job. Then test it.
AI features and retrieval-based applications built around a useful task, authorized data, and a way to evaluate the result.

The problem worth solving
A convincing answer can still be wrong
Fluent output does not prove that a system has found the right source, followed access rules, or answered accurately. The design must account for uncertainty and give people a way to inspect the evidence.
A good fit: For teams exploring knowledge assistants, document workflows, and focused AI features with a defined user and information boundary.
Scope / deliverables
What we can build together.
Retrieval and knowledge applications
Source ingestion, chunking, retrieval, citations, and permission-aware access are designed around the actual corpus.
Agents and integrations
Keep tool permissions narrow, require review for consequential actions, and make failures and execution history visible.
Evaluation and safety
Build a representative evaluation set, check retrieval quality, test unsupported questions, and define when the system should abstain.
An engineering consideration
Start with an evaluation baseline
Agree what a useful answer looks like before changing prompts or models. Track quality, latency, and cost together. Sensitive data handling and provider choices need an explicit review.
The engagement
Make each step reviewable.
Scope, dependencies, and acceptance criteria are agreed before a delivery commitment. Reviews keep the work connected to the original problem.

Team domain experience: RAG systems
Our team has worked in retrieval-augmented generation. This is team domain experience; no named Byte Craftre client outcome or performance claim is implied.

Questions / answers
A little more clarity.
Will RAG eliminate incorrect answers?
No. Retrieval helps ground output, but source quality, retrieval errors, and model behavior still require evaluation and clear limits.
Can AI use private company documents?
Potentially, with authorized access, suitable processing terms, and permission-aware retrieval. Those requirements must be established before ingestion.
Do we need an autonomous agent?
Often a bounded workflow or retrieval interface is enough. Tool-using agents should have a specific purpose and an appropriate review boundary.
Connected capabilities
The next piece of the system.
